The Company was incorporated on 28th June, 1985 under the Companies Act, 1956 in the name of CATVISION PRODUCTS LIMITED and obtained registration with the Registrar of Companies Delhi & Haryana at Delhi and received the Certificate of Commencement of Business on 22nd July, 1985.
The Company is one of the first companies in the country to have ventured into the line of manufacturing Community Antenna Television (CATV) equipment and providing Cable Television services. In 1985, when the Company was incorporated, Cable TV in India was at a nascent stage, due to lack of programming. Cable Television was mainly confined to five star hotels and remote corporate townships. The Company started with setting up complete six channel CATV systems on a turnkey basis within hotels, apartments blocks and corporate townships.
During the initial years the sales volume was low due to lack of good programs that could attract viewers/ subscribers, During 1989 the Company entered into an exclusive licence agreement with CNN to distribute CNN International channels in India.

-Company has changed its name from Catvision Products Ltd. to Catvision Ltd.
2013
- Catvision Products Ltd has appointed Mr. Jagdish Prasad independent Director of the Company
