Harshvadhan Chemicals was incorporated in June 81 as a Private Ltd. company & converted into a Public Ltd. company in December 85.
It has been promoted by Mr. R S Rathore & MR. Ajit Singh who have been in the field of manufacture & trading of fertiliser for the last 20 years.
The company, which began its operations by producing Single super Phosphate in 1986, later diversified into production of detergents. It is likely to set up a Rs. 600 crore diammonia phosphate plant & a Rs, 100 crore project to upgrade rock phosphates. The other project taken up by the company was the production of chemicals like sulphuric acid/oleum/cholorosulphuric acid. The project went on stream in beginning of 1992. It envisages a production of 55000 MT per annum of sulphuric acid, 5000 mtpa of oleum & 5000 mtpa of Chlorosulphuric acid. Another project of the company is setting up of a DAP unit. The company came out with Public Issue on April 21, 1986.
