Texel Plastics Limited was originally incorporated as Texel Plastics Pvt Ltd on 2nd August 1989. The Company was converted into Public Limited company vide special resolution passed on 02.04.1992 and by a fresh Certificate of Incorporation dated 13.04.92 was obtained from the Registrar of the Companies Gujarat.

Promoted by Mr. Shailesh Mehta and Mr. Naresh Mehta, the Company's manufacturing unit at Kalol, District Mehsana, started commercial productin in 1989. The compnay currently caters to the domestic and international markets with wide range of products made out of the PE Protection Covers and SpecialityCoated Fabrics.

2016
-Texel Industries has launched its website www.geotexelin.com.

2019
-Texel Industries Ltd has informed BSE regarding "Launch of new product". 

2021 
-The company issued rights shares of Rs. 10 in the ratio of 55:92 at a premium of Rs. 30 per
share. 
-The Company has received an 'Award of Sustainability' for innovation in water conservation and creating sustainable livelihoods in 'Gujarat MSME's Virtual Samellan Samman' organized by the Knowledge Chamber of Commerce & Industry in association with others
